Description:
CTE is seeking a general programs graduate assistant for the 2008-2009 year.
Responsibilities include supporting the following CTE programs: the CTE-Lilly Fellows, workshops and distinguished guest speaker events, orientations for new graduate teaching assistants, and the faculty who participate in the Summer Institute for Teaching with New Technology.
This GA will work closely with CTE staff to prepare and run programs and will contribute to ongoing efforts to enhance our efforts to improve teaching and learning. He or she will also have some responsibility for editing manuscripts and collaborating on grant proposals.
Candidates will need to demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching and learning and some experience with teaching at the University of Maryland is preferred. He or she must be able to work well among a team.
This is a 20 hr/week 12 month assistantship and includes the University's
standard package of benefits, including tuition remission.
