Workshops
CTE sponsors over 12 workshops
and conversations each year. They
cover a variety of topics of interest to all faculty and teaching
assistants.
Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Programs
The Center for Teaching Excellence now supports several different
Undergraduate Teaching Assistant opportunities:
UTA -- The
standard Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Program, in which
students work with an individual faculty member and provide various
services while they learn about teaching;
UTA-SL -- The Undergraduate Service Learning Teaching Assistant
Program, a component of the UTA Program that focuses on the
combination of community service with academic coursework; and
UTA-UNIV -- The Undergraduate UNIV100/UNIV101 Program, in which
students work with a faculty member of either UNIV 100 or UNIV 101,
two first-year student seminars designed to help new students
transition into the University community, as co-partners in the
teaching process.
