Teaching and Learning in Second Life

Li, CTE staff Second Life (SL), is a
multi-user virtual environment platform that is emerging as a new
educational landscape in which users create personae and operate in
a virtual world. It has become part of higher education and higher
education a part of SL. This workshop will look at the ways two
faculty members have made Second Life part of their teaching. A
general discussion of SL as an emerging educational platform will
follow, including pedagogical implications, and challenges of using
this innovation for e-learning. |
