We all process information in different ways and at different rates, and as such we all exist on a neurodiversity spectrum. Neurodivergent individuals process information outside the population norm, and may include people with ADD/ADHD, dyslexia/dyscalculia, autism spectrum disorder, etc. Due to better support within the K12 educational system, neurodivergent students are enrolling in college in higher numbers, and these highly capable students have unique needs to promote their academic success. Join us to discuss the challenges of transitioning from K12 to college, and ways to support neurodivergent students in your classes.
